IOCOM Demonstrates Desktop HD Video at the Internet2 Fall Meeting
IOCOM is proud to announce the availability of desktop High-Definition video for all laptops, desktops and even ultra mobile PC’s running Microsoft XP or Vista. IOCOM showcased the desktop HD video at the Internet2 Fall Members Meeting at the University of California at San Diego today at the event’s demo pavilion. IOCOM believes that this advanced feature is the first of its kind in the desktop video arena.
IOCOM EVP of Sales, Jim Miller, who manned the demo booth stated “the HD desktop system certainly raised some eyebrows at the event, especially when they saw the excellent quality using a $100 USB camera. ” Mr. Miller showcased both desktop and room based HD systems. The IOCOM software solution can send and receive multiple video codecs simultaneously. This unique feature allows IOCOM users to utilize high definition and standard definition codecs and cameras as well. Highlighting another exclusive IOCOM feature, the room system and desktop systems connected seamlessly in multi-site meetings using various off the shelf USB and S-video cameras and other audio-visual gear.
